In this question I want to edit the settings for my own browser to run a browser extension game that can play its own sounds in a kiosk.

Chrome's autoplay policy blocks unmuted media, causing videos to autoplay muted. CEF systems disable this, but a bypass is possible, but it reverts on restart.

Chrome doesn't respect --autoplay-policy flag anymore. Since two weeks I get complaints about a kiosk application of sound no longer playing.

A long-term goal is for fewer users to block audio at the OS level, meaning that more users will hear sound overall.
